Are you missing your friends and competitors from other running clubs during these long summer months? If so, please join the Central Jersey Road Runners, Clifton Roadrunners Club, Essex Running Club, Geezers Running Club, Highlands Hashers, Mendham Running Club, Morris County Striders, North Jersey Masters, Passaic County Runners' Club, Ralph's Runners, The Running Company and the Do Run Runners for a multiple club run at Freedom Park in Randolph on Saturday morning, August 6. The group will leave Freedom Park at 8:30 a.m. for a fun run of between 2 to 8 miles (individuals decide distance and pace) along the Randolph trails. If anyone is training for a Fall marathon, they are welcome to join a group starting at 7 a.m. for a double loop of 16 miles. This group circles back to Freedom Park by 8:30 to run the final loop with everyone else. We also encourage walkers to participate in our gathering. Before and after the Multiple Club Run, Peter Engelhardt will be collecting your new and used running shirts and shoes to be distributed to the residents of the Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital in Parsippany. Peter, who races for the Clifton Roadrunners Club, is a teacher at the hospital.
Freedom Park is just a 10 minute (6 mile) ride from Morristown. For GPS directions to Freedom Park, please use 640 Millbrook Ave, Randolph, NJ 07869. We meet and park near the pavilion on the left hand side as you enter the park.
Individuals and members of other running clubs not already listed are also welcome!
