ESCARPMENT TRAIL RUN

Postby suzanne » Thu May 28, 2009 10:18 am

reminder:those of you planning on running this race, applications (if you sent SASE or if you have run it in previous years) are supposed to be mailed out this week. First 200 recieved will be in, that's it. I heard from RD that there's huge interest, so I would say do it same day as you recieve that application.

Great race, but I guess it's too late to make a pitch-you either ran it or showed interest and sent for application. Looking forward to training for it, please lets go for some trail runs, ok????!!! So who is planning to go?

Escarpment Report

Well there was no rain, hail or lightning this year but plenty of mud and water. Trails were in very bad shape and the mountains were still very big. Some how I was able to complete the 18.6 miles in 4:03 about 6 minutes better than last year and Suzanne finished it in 4:41 about 11 minutes faster. There were a bunch of Raritan Valley Road Runners who finished, I believe Michael Dixon came in fourth overall. Anyone who is looking for a challenge should consider this race next year.
